The National Electronics Museum displays breakthroughs in communications, radar, countermeasures, 

electo-optical, underseas, and space electronic technologies.

Come and experience the world of electronics at the Historical Electronics Museum. At the museum you can generate electricity, listen to the first 

commercial radio broadcast, watch man land on the moon, or simply admire the advancement in defensive and commercial electronics technology 

that our nation  has experienced in the last century.

Fundamentals Gallery

A visit to the museum will be a special treat for every member of the family. Children and adults alike will enjoy the Fundamentals Gallery,

where the basics of electricity are explained through interactive exhibits.

Communications Gallery

In the communications gallery, visitors can learn about the history and future of electronic communication. The museum's amateur radio

station, W3GR, displays and operates both vintage and modern communications systems.

Radar Gallery

In the Radar Galleries, visitors will learn about Maryland's rich history in electronics research, design and manufacture. This collection ranges 

from WWII radar sets through modern radar systems.

Electronic Countermeasure Gallery

In the Electronic Countermeasures Gallery, visitors will see an extensive collection of jammers, receivers, and transmitters.

Space Gallery

On display in the Space Gallery is one of only three Apollo TV cameras still in existence. The black and white camera was responsible for

televising Neil Armstrong's historic first steps on the moon.

The museum also has exhibit galleries dedicated to Underwater and Electro-Optic Technologies.

Museum Library

The museum's library, holding a unique collection of electronics-related reading material, may be of special interest to the electronics

enthusiasts and researchers. The library is open to the general public during the museum's regular hours and by appointment.
